Save the Date for a Ministerial Search Committee Workshop and Survey

Our Ministerial Search Committee

On Saturday, October 11 from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm, all members and friends of our congregation are highly encouraged to participate in the Break Barriers, Build Beliefs (B4) workshop offered by the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), online and at a comfortable location of your choice. This workshop is designed to promote inclusive thinking and help prevent bias in our congregation’s search for a new minister. This facilitated training led by Reverend Patrice Curtis of the UUA will ask attendees to:

  • Learn more about the ministerial search process;
  • Explore how categorical thinking about people can interfere with choosing the best candidate; and
  • Consider the hopes, expectations, and concerns one may have for a new minister.

For anyone who does not have online access to Zoom, we will find a location where you can participate. We will provide more location information soon. Contact search@uusm.org for more information.

ADDITIONALLY IMPORTANT…

The Ministerial Search Committee asks that every congregant complete the following Break Barriers, Build Beliefs (B4) survey before Monday, October 6th

TAKE THE B4 SURVEY NOW

If you are unable to access the survey, we are able to assist. Please reach out to either Beth Rendeiro or Susan Hendricks at search@uusm.org and we will arrange access for you at the congregation on a Sunday.
