UUSM 2025 Weekend at Camp de Benneville Pines is September 26-28

Come one, come all to UUSM’s 2025 Camp de Benneville Pines weekend – Friday, September 26 through Sunday, September 28.

We are scheduled two weekends later than our typical weekend this time around. We are doing a camp weekend collab with the Chalice and Neighbors UU cluster that includes congregations in the Ventura area, Thousand Oaks, and Studio City. This will help us ensure a full camp, which creates the best conditions for meaningful connections for campers of all ages. Combining with other congregations gives us a chance to deepen our friendships across our faith. I have met many lifelong friends in the lodge at de Benneville Pines.

Our weekend will include traditional camp activities such as hiking, swimming, tie-dying and other crafts, archery, and labyrinth workshops. It will also include programming offered by the enormously talented experts and artisans from our congregations who volunteer their services. If you have talents or ideas to share for workshops, please reach out to me at DeBenneville@UUSM.org, or stop by the de Benneville Pines info table that I will host on all Sundays in August.

Our camp is located in the San Bernardino National Forest in Angelus Oaks – north of Redlands, CA. It’s about two and a half hour drive from church. The environment is family-friendly. Attendees sleep in cabins that have toilets and showers and heat in the winter months.

The cost of attending our weekend is $210 for adults, $130 for youth 13-19, and $80 for children 3-12. Scholarships are available.

There is a $50 premium charge per person for rooms in Craig’s Cabin, which includes a kitchen and is close to the lodge and the center of camp.

There is a $40 premium charge for families requesting a double-bed bunkbed in any cabin.

Registration includes meals, Friday Dinner through Sunday Grab & Go Lunch. For an extra fee, campers are welcome to come up on Thursday, September 25th. However, no meals will be served until Friday evening.

Prices go up after September 8!
