On June 28, We’ll Join the UUA’s General Assembly Worship Service

UUA Sunday Worship Service

Click on the YouTube video above to watch the full service.

This Sunday, June 28, instead of our own local worship service, we invite everyone to join us — and thousands of other UUs around the country — in viewing the largest communal Unitarian Universalist worship gathering of the year. The service, “Beyond the Water’s Edge,” will stream as part of the Unitarian Universalist Association’s (Virtual) General Assembly, which began on Wednesday and ends on Sunday.

The service will stream (for free; no conference registration required) at https://www.uua.org/ga/off-site/2020/sunday-worship at 10:00 am PDT. (The link to the UUA stream will also be shared on our UUSM Facebook page on Sunday, though we will not actually be able to stream the video there.) The service will also be archived at the UUA link after the livestream has concluded, so if you don’t catch it during the stream, you can still view it later. An Order of Service for the event, and a live chat window, will also be available at the service link.

The live streaming YouTube video from the UUA will be available to watch at 10 am on the front pages of both this UUSM newsletter site and at uusm.org, and be archived afterwards like our regular Sunday Services.

According to the UUA:

“The Rev. Joan Javier-Duval, minister of the Unitarian Church in Montpelier, VT, will preach, the Rev. Mykal O’Neal Slack will serve as a worship leader, and Benjie Messer will be the music director for this special national UUA service. The worship service will include a collection for the Tomaquag Museum, an indigenous museum featuring an extensive collection and archive of Southern New England tribal communities.”

Important Reminders!

After the UUA Service, join us for Coffee Hour in our private Facebook Group.
Chat about the service and check in with each other.

Then we invite all UUSM members to join us on our Facebook page, at 12 noon on Sunday, for the livestream of our 93rd Annual Congregational Meeting. Click the link for details…and see you there!
