Dining for Dollars is UUSM’s premier member-driven fundraiser. We all can contribute, either by hosting an event or by bidding on and attending an event.
Last year’s Dining for Dollars (D4$) was a success thanks to everyone’s contributions. Thanks to our hosts for generously opening their homes and offering a splendid variety of events, goods and services. And to the Congregation, thank YOU for joining others in community, as we invest in our church and our principles.
We are opening this year’s round of D4$ bidding on goods/services and dining events. If you have not hosted an event, please consider doing so. If you have already hosted something, we invite you to do it again! You can always repeat an event that you’ve done before.
Events will be held between Memorial Day May 29th and New Year’s Day January 1st.
Before you know it, the summer will be here, so think about all the community-building opportunities we can take advantage of during the warmer weather.
Let us know if you’re interested in offering an event or goods/services. Hosts will decide on Covid protocol for their event if they choose.
Example contributions from last Dining for Dollars include: A Burmese Dinner, Beer Tasting in the Garden, Bicycle Repair, One hour plumbing service call, Tasting the Finest Scotches, Improve your Photography, and Learn to Make a Pizza via Zoom.
We will again run the auction though the bidding website, Auctria. The auction bidding will begin Sunday, May 7th at 12:00 pm and will close Sunday, May 21st at 8:00 pm. Events will be held between Memorial Day and New Year’s Day.
