Bidding closes Sunday May 21 at 8:00 pm PT.

Events launch soon: Memorial Day, May 29. Events, you say? Like what?

Well, there’s dinners, of course, and lunches and brunches and even breakfast for dinner. Try it. You’ll like it. We’re going international with a dinner for Avicenna (a Central Asian feast), as well as indigenous with a heritage dinner from the “Sioux Chef.” Laissez les bons temps rouler at the crawfish boil. Is Beatles and pizza considered internationale? (Maybe not.) But we all could use a little refresher on UU history, so bid on the multicourse Transylvanian Forbears event.

There’s an abundance of opportunities for good company, good food, and good fun! Find all these events on UUSM’s Auctria website: auctria.events/uusm. Do sign in (or register if you haven’t already), and then head to the auction catalog and have a look.

But wait, there’s more!

Sure, D4$ was originally about breaking bread together, but members are offering goods, services, and knowledge sharing as well. There’s a hiking tour of the Hollywood Sign and aviation and Black history tours of Santa Monica. Get hip with a tour of the DTLA Arts District, then practice some arts and crafts yourself. Croquet, anyone? A sociable rubber of bridge? Or escape on a sailing trip around beautiful Santa Moncia Bay.

Our relocated congregant Kris L. is looking forward to connecting with old friends and telling all about her new friends: a family of red-shouldered hawks. Maybe you’d like to collaborate with our ministers Jeremiah and Kikanza to develop a worship service?

Lest we forget, the choir and all us wannabe American Idols will raise the roof on the big karaoke night in June. Bicycle repair, plumbing repair, guitar lessons… How about loaf of Irish soda bread? Or tennis? Babysitting? Hot tubbing? The “Ahhhh, summer!” decompress at Venice Beach is in August.

So many many choices. And all the money goes 100% to benefit the church. FOMO? Please bid high and, most important, have fun!
