The Leadership Development and Nominating Committee (LDNC) is excited to be taking the first steps in our year and a half process of searching for our next Settled Minister.
The LDNC has the responsibility of nominating a slate of candidates for congregational approval to be members of the Ministerial Search Committee. Before making recommendations, the committee is getting congregational input into the process.
In an email on February 21, LDNC announced that all members “should be receiving a call from the LDNC or others tasked with providing support to carefully discern who would make good members of the committee. You will be invited to find a time for a 15-20 minute reflective conversation and then your recommendations will be recorded and considered with everyone who participated in the process.”
That process has begun. LDNC and the Board are currently surveying members of the church to get recommendations for the search committee. Once the LDNC puts the slate together for the search committee, the congregation will vote on the slate in an All Congregation meeting in May. Once confirmed, the search committee will begin the process of searching for our new settled minister.
The LDNC is Erik Paesel, John Zinner, Haygo Salibian, Wendi Gladstone, and Robbert Schalekamp
