Join us for the 10th Annual Interfaith Solidarity March on Sunday, Sep. 21st

For nearly a decade, UUSM has been supporting and participating in the LA Interfaith Solidarity March, an event dedicated to peace and religious freedom for all. We march together with people “of every faith, philosophy or creed” (including secular folks) in solidarity and pluralism and we march against all hatred, bigotry, violence and oppression in the name of religion. In the Fall of 2025, this event feels more urgent and important than ever.

This year, the event is taking place in September on the International Day of Peace. Faith in Action and friends will be coordinating rides during coffee hour between 12 and 12:30 to arrive at the event, which begins at 1PM. The march is approximately 1 mile from St. Basil’s Cathedral to The Islamic Center of Southern California, with speakers at both ends of the march and during a stop along the way at the RFK Memorial Park.

Join us marching in partnership with dozens of marches around the world. Let us walk together to affirm freedom, diversity, and respect among nations, ethnicities, and religions, as we learn to live in peace.

Our march pillars:

• We are united in rejecting hatred and oppression in the name of religion and in supporting freedom of worship or belief.

• We are united to stamp out bigotry and violence of every sort, and in support of the right to live peacefully.

• We are united in affirming the role that the interfaith community must play in safeguarding the health and safety of all people.

At the conclusion of the march, there will be a panel discussion honoring the International Day of Peace. Speakers and panelists to be announced.
