With Thanksgiving/Thanksgrieving, we are reminded to practice gratitude, to share the abundance of our lives, and to grieve the painful legacies we remember this holiday season.

My heart is tuned to the whispers of the ancestors in this period and the autumnal splendor invites us all to remember the mighty cloud of witnesses that surrounds our lives. 

You are invited to join us in our beloved congregational home. For almost a century we have gathered to enrich our lives, tend to each other’s spirits, and contribute to our world.

We are transitioning to our summer worship calendar as the regular church year winds down. We’ve planned an exciting summer with new and familiar faces.

We must bless pleasure as an act of resistance to the forces that exhaust, diminish, and dehumanize. In experiencing delight, we are reminded of the jubilation of existence and our lives.

Our congregation is alive! Our sanctuary is buzzing with heart and spirit and melody. Our campus is once again filled with people, activities, and fellowship.

Our Stewardship Campaign has launched and your support is critical to our continued flourishing as we emerge from the pandemic and into our abundance.

Springtime is on the horizon even as the cool weather and heavy rains of the winter make it seem otherwise. This is also our stewardship season, a time when we recommit to supporting our beloved community.

Happy Black History Month! Let us take time this month–and every month–to reflect upon the joys celebrated, the dreams realized, the justice that’s still demanded, and our own callings to the ongoing struggle to co-create an anti-racist society and inclusive beloved community.
