Thanks to everyone who has dropped by and either written postcards or picked up postcards to take home.
We are well on our way to completing the final 1,000 post cards that we have been asked to get into the mail by October 20th for the Virginia General Election on November 4th.
We will be having Sunday morning postcard “parties” starting at 9 am on the next three Sundays under the shade structure. That’s September 28, October 5 and October 12. Show up and grab a delicious bagel or pastry.
I hope those of you who have not yet had a chance to drop by and either join us to write or to pick up cards will join us soon.
The Virginia Governor’s race is very important and we want to make sure that those who can vote do vote.
We’re contacting registered Black voters to urge voting in VA’s general elections for Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, and House of Delegates. The postcard script from Reclaim Our Vote/Center for Common Ground is nonpartisan. We write colorful personal messages telling the recipients to “Choose Virginia leaders you can trust! Protect healthcare, housing, food, education, civil rights, and our Black history! Vote! Vote Early! Bring Friends and your ID!”
