Who wants to come play with us? Who likes bagels and cream cheese, Danish and fresh fruit? Who would like to see free and fair election where people who are entitled to vote are empowered to vote.
UU the Vote is our way at UUSM of helping voters to do just that. We will do Get Out the Vote post carding from now through the 2026 election.
Our first “project” will be writing post cards and sending them to folks in Virginia who will be voting for a new Governor in November.
We just need two things. We need you to write post cards and we need you to help us with money to pay for the stamps. Any new monies that come in now can also be used to apply for matching grants. It turns out that post card stamps cost 56 cents each!
We will be starting to do post carding on Sunday mornings at the shade structure at 9 in a few weeks. Of course, if you would prefer, you can take them home and do them there. You could even have a party and invite friends to help, then it becomes a social event!
It is easy to donate on our website, and you can also send a check to the office noting it is for UU The Vote.
