Kids and families were out in force at our first intergenerational service of the year, the Water Communion and Ingathering Service on Sunday, 8/28. We set up an art table at the front of the sanctuary, shared hopes for the new year, and told a Story for All Ages about the significance of water. Thanks to all who participated!
What to know about Sundays in the Cottage
While we get used to being back in person on Sundays, we’re gathering in the Cottage after the Story for All Ages. Jacki Weber and friends are leading the kids in yoga, song, reflection, games, and SNACK!

September 4
Yoga, art, sharing, and snack in the Cottage. And as always, we are making sandwiches for our unhoused neighbors right after church!
September 11
Faith in Action: Heal the Bay Beach Clean Up at Annenberg Beach. FUN, FUN, FUN! Meet us at UU Santa Monica at 10:30 am. We will carpool, or bike it to the beach to clean it up. LUNCH will be provided! More information is here.
September 18
CAMP! Come join us at UU Santa Monica Family Camp at Camp DeBenneville Pines (September 16-17-18). More information is here. If you can’t make it to camp, we’ll have activities in the cottage!
September 25
We’ll do our usual thing in the cottage and then head out to the patio for some GARDENING! Come plant some seeds and plants. Take home your very own plant, too.
October 7
First Friday Fun & Games! Dinner at 6, and Games at 6:30! RSVP to FirstFridayFun@uusm.org so we can let you know what you need to know about parking!
