This month, half of our Sunday Offering will go to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization advancing human rights together with an international community of grassroots partners and advocates.
UUSC focuses their work on intersecting roots of injustice to defend rights at risk due to criminalization and systemic oppression of people based on their identity. They support self-determination and defend the rights of people displaced due to climate, conflict or economic hardships; and we respond to humanitarian crises as partners with people whose access to aid is most limited.
Striving to center the voices of people most affected by injustice, UUSC creates eye-to-eye relationships with front-line grassroots movements across the world that support marginalized communities in determining their steps for the future.
Generous Congregation
Our practice here at UUSM is to dedicate half of our non-pledge Sunday offerings to organizations doing work in the world that advances our Unitarian Universalist principles; the other 50% of the offering is used to support the life of our church.
UUSM’s Generous Congregation program supports our church community. And together, we uplift the reach and impact of vital organizations doing work we could not do on our own. This month, half of our Sunday offerings will go to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. Your donations will help them advance human rights with an international community of grassroots partners and advocates.
Please consider supporting the mission of our church and the UUSC. To give right now, text “$10 GCC” to 844-982-0209. (One-time-only credit card registration required.) Or visit Make a Donation at uusm.org and reference Generous Congregation. Thank you.
