How We Grow - Celebrating Youth!

Come join our youth to celebrate their talents, their abilities and how they grow within our Unitarian Universalist community. This is a spectacular time to hear about the new work being created within Youth Ministry.

From Monthly: "Delight"

We’ll explore in our worship, small groups, and personal reflection this month’s theme, The Path of Delight. Every day, I see or hear something that more or less kills me with delight, that leaves me like a needle in the haystack of light. It was what I was born for – to look, to listen, to lose myself inside this soft world – to instruct myself over and over in joy and acclamation. ~ Mary Oliver, excerpt from “Mindful” And forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~ Khalil Gibran On Rest as the Requirement for Delight: There is a strong connection between rest and delight; When we are exhausted and harried it is almost impossible to find delight in even the most wonderful things. ~ PastorsInExile.org Rules of This Delightful Game: Kick the ball. Dance in the rain. Get lost on purpose. Play fetch with the dog. Fly the kite. Smell the flowers. Jump in the puddle. Pull out the paints. Throw the dice. Learn the two-step. Let life take you by the hand. Lean back and let the wind mess up your hair. Be where you are. Open to what’s before you. Behold delight. Win the prize. And share it. ~ Rev. Scott Taylor We’re only here for a minute. We’re here for a little window. And to use that time to catch and share shards of light and laughter and grace seems to me the great story. ~ Brian Doyle Whether success or failure: the truth of a life really has little to do with its quality. The quality of life is in proportion, always, to the capacity for delight. The capacity for delight is the gift of paying attention. ~ May Sarton
