Message: “Feedback” from Rev. Dr. Kikanza Nuri-Robins

The Rev. Dr. Kikanza Nuri-Robins - July 28, 2024

Feedback

When the sound system isn't working, or the Zoom audio needs adjustment, we get feedback: annoying, irritating noise that tells us that something must be adjusted. Feedback from people is often subtle and easy to ignore, and sometimes it is missing altogether. This morning we are going to talk about feedback and what it sounds like in a Beloved Community. The Rev. Dr. Kikanza Nuri-Robins, preaching. Cassie Winters, worship associate. Order of Service: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hIjLgJS0Cr1XRvb5N-lgn57USulKW1jLN850ly8LLKk/edit?usp=sharing

From Monthly: "Grace"

Grace is defined in the realm of theology as the gift of unearned benevolence. Our heritage affirmed the radical benevolence of the divine and humanity. We affirmed the goodness of both and believed that humanity could unlock its full potential. When we are hopeful, faithful, and loving, it is easier to offer grace to others, even when we may think they do not deserve it. Grace invites us to consider our better angels and what it means to live as agents of compassion and mercy in our broken and hurting world.
