Soulful Sundown
Friday Night Soulful Sundown will be a magical night of live music of popular songs that promote loving, caring relationships, songs by the likes of Lennon and McCartney, Stevie Wonder and others.
Their inspirational music will be performed with live professional musicians who regularly perform in venues throughout the Santa Monica area. We hope to promote a loving, caring vibe, especially to include new members, visitors, family and friends, in honor of our doctrine of community love we espouse in our UUSM principles.
The event will take place in Forbes Hall, July 28. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and we will begin with a simple chalice lighting at 6:00 followed by a communal dinner and then live music accompaniment. All of the popular songs performed will be well-known to all the congregants, and we will encourage everyone to sing along as we play.
Children are welcome! Potluck dinner, main course offered. Suggested donation* $15, kids free.
