Annual Congregational Meeting

The Annual Business Meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Santa Monica will be held on June 7, 2026 at 12:30 pm in the Sanctuary. The Board of Directors hopes all UUSM members share in the participatory democracy of this congregation by attending and voting. It’s vital that we have a quorum for the meeting otherwise we cannot elect board members or pass a budget. Please plan on attending our annual meeting on June 7th.
Quorum for congregational business meetings consists of not less than 25% of the voting members (approximately 67 members as of 4/28/26).
Email the church office at admin@uusm.org to request an absentee ballot or submit a completed one. Absentee ballots must be received by the church office no later than Friday, June 5, at noon and cannot be accepted after that deadline. Absentee votes do not count towards the quorum.
Members may request a proxy ballot so that another member votes for them in the meeting. This can be arranged (1) ahead of time, by emailing the church office at admin@uusm.org before Friday, June 5, at noon or (2) at church on Sunday, June 7, in the side courtyard directly following Sunday service, but before the start of the meeting. A member may serve as proxy for only one other member. Proxy votes do not count toward the quorum.
Non-members are welcome to attend the meeting, but cannot vote.
Lunch will be served. Childcare will be available.
