Conversation led by Mary Romenek
- 12:30 PM – 1:15 PM: Circle Discussion on Birthdays: Especially When Living Alone
Some Potential Discussion Questions:
-
-
- “When your birthday approaches, what is your knee-jerk reaction? Do you lean into celebrating, or is your instinct to quietly let it slide by?”
- “For those who live alone, how do you handle the logistical shift of a birthday? Do you find joy in creating your own personal rituals, or does the lack of a built-in household celebration make the day feel heavy?”
- “How can we, as a Women’s Plus community, better hold space for each other’s milestones without making people feel pressured into a ‘traditional’ party if they prefer quiet autonomy?”
-
- 1:15 PM – 2:00 PM: Craft Project – Making a Birthday Card
Each person can make a card for themselves for their next birthday (or chose to honor someone else) – Card Making Supplies provided
