UUSM Marches in LA Pride Parade 2026!
Join us in Hollywood on Sunday June 14th for our annual intergenerational march in the LA Pride Parade, one of the oldest and largest celebrations of LGBTA+ identity and rights in the world. We proudly march to represent our Unitarian Universalist values and legacy of social justice, and our banner proclaims the Unitarian Universalists have been blessing same-sex unions since 1959.
Contact us if you want to arrange carpooling or meetup for public transportation at UUSM. Otherwise, meet us at our staging location near Highland Blvd. and Fountain Ave in Hollywood at 10:30AM. UUSM is Parade Group #101. Please note that there is a wait time before “step-off,” the point at which we are given the green light to march. We never know exactly when this will be but there is usually a wait time of an hour or so. This gives us time to decorate our “float” (a bedazzled pickup truck), practice our chants, have some snacks, and get in the spirit.
The parade route is approximately 1 mile, and the pace is relatively slow. There are still spots for riders in the truck for those who cannot march but want to come along — please let us know if you want one.
