Sunday Worship: Answers to the Call: From Selma to Minneapolis

July 19 @ 10:30 am

James Witker, preaching
John Hart, Worship Associate

History has been shaped in part by ordinary people who showed up for justice. In the days we are living through, the stories of those who came before us can inform and inspire what we do today. If we look more closely, we might also find that their stories are more deeply interconnected than we realized, and part of a living legacy that is still very much with us.

James Witker has been a member of UUSM since 2010, during which time he has been most deeply involved with Faith In Action and Adult Religious Education. He is a student of Unitarian Universalist history and interested in the connection between theologies, ideas, and social justice. He recently served on UUSM’s ministerial search committee and is also currently on the board of the national Unitarian Universalist Humanist Association. Professionally, he works as a documentary film and TV editor and producer.

Join us for Sunday morning worship in our historic Sanctuary at 18th and Arizona, online or in-person.
