Strength To Love: Listening to Martin Luther King Jr.

In this difficult political climate, where we may feel uncertain of the future, we need to pause and understand that justice work is on a continuum.

We stand on the shoulders of giants. One of those important figures is Martin Luther King Jr. We will be reading together some of his greatest sermons as presented in his book, Strength To Love. You are invited to listen, reflect, question, sit with perhaps uncomfortable ideas, and kindle a stronger faith in a better tomorrow for all people. MLK was indeed a Southern Baptist minister, so there will be several Christian tenets presented, which will convey a provocative, nonconformist, fearless and loving perspective that is essential to understanding MLK’s message for all who are faced with dark and harsh times.
