Soulful Sundown

In light of the horrific and tragic events in the Middle East this week, it is so important that we come together to celebrate our Unitarian Universalist values.

Our values are loving and caring and sharing and serving and forgiving one another—all to the magic of wonderful music that will inspire you with songs that you grew up—that we share with our children who will grow to love them too. Please come in loving solidarity with our love-based values to share this dinner and special worship service.

Soulful Sundown is a magical night of live music of popular songs that promote loving, caring relationships, songs by the likes of Lennon and McCartney, Stevie Wonder and others.

Their inspirational music will be performed with live professional musicians who regularly perform in venues throughout the Santa Monica area. We hope to promote a loving, caring vibe, especially to include new members, visitors, family and friends, in honor of our doctrine of community love we espouse in our UUSM principles.

The event will take place in Forbes Hall, October 20. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and we will begin with a simple chalice lighting at 6:00 pm followed by a communal dinner and then live music accompaniment. All of the popular songs performed will be well-known to all the congregants, and we will encourage everyone to sing along as we play.

Children are welcome! Admission is FREE to all. Complimentary wine and beer served. Dinner provided. Potluck contributions welcome.
