Sunday Soulful Sundown

Soulful Sundown is a magical night of live music and potluck dishes.

The songs are performed live by the best local professional musicians from the Santa Monica and Venice area. All of the pop, rock ‘n’ roll, and Motown songs we perform express the wonderful values of our Unitarian Universalist community–songs about loving and caring for each other, songs of forgiveness, songs about finding a better way of living together, songs about making this world a better place.

Because most of these classic songs are well known–songs we grew up with–everyone is encouraged to sing along! You’ll be singing along to songs by Lennon McCartney, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, and even The Mamas & The Papas. These are songs that will bring back wonderful memories of love and peace that we may share together in this special moment of time.

Soulful Sundown, which is moving from fourth Friday to second Sunday, will be held this time in Forbes Hall on Sunday, July 14th, 2024. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and dinner begins at 6:15 pm with live music accompaniment shortly thereafter.

Children are especially welcome! Admission is a donation of $10 for adults. Children are free.

Bring your favorite potluck dish, as well as your favorite wine or brew to share. Bring along your dancing shoes; a splendid time is guaranteed for all!
