For at least a decade before the COVID virus appeared on the scene, groups of researchers were working on the concept of mRNA vaccines: delivery systems, content… Rapid DNA sequencing and databases. When the COVID sequence was released (apparently by accident), the first vaccine attempt happened in a week.
