We will discuss The Equations of Life: How Physics Shapes Evolution, by Charles S. Cockell.

The author is a professor of Astrobiology at the University of Edinburgh. He specializes in life in extreme environments, including the extraterrestrial. In this book, Cockell presents a groundbreaking argument for why alien life will evolve to be much like life here on Earth.
