Science Nonfiction Book Group “Humankind” – Zoom/Online

Booklovers come together to explore science and history topics in-depth.

We will discuss Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman.

Many religions and philosophies assume that humans are inherently bad, but Bregman looks at the human desire for kindness and generosity not just as optimistic, but realistic. Books on negotiation always say people respond positively, when treated as though their motives are magnanimous. Looking at humans as good may improve our outlook in these trying times.
