LA Pride Parade

Grab your best T-shirt, hat, and water bottle! UU Santa Monica is once again an official participant in this year’s LA Pride Parade on Sunday, June 11th, one of the largest celebrations of LGBTQ+ pride in the world and a historic event that has been held annually for over fifty years.
Gather at UUSM to carpool to Hollywood by 9AM on Sunday morning, or meet us at our staging area on Orange Ave. between Santa Monica Blvd. and Fountain Ave at 10:30AM. LA Pride official parking information can be found here.
We’ll have a pickup truck (our “float”) to decorate and signs to make and carry. The parade route is a 1 mile walk through the heart of Hollywood and is estimated to take about 40 min.
This is a nationally televised event that will appear on ABC News and Hulu. It is a great opportunity to represent UUSM and our UU values to the world. Join us to “say gay,” proclaim that trans rights are human rights, and show up as one of the few (only?) liberal religious organizations at LA Pride that Side with Love.
