LA Pride Parade Carpool
Join us once again for our historic participation in the LA Pride Parade on the morning of Sunday, June 8.
Our meetup time/place for the Parade is Santa Monica & Highland at 11:30 am. Groups of us will begin carpooling at 9:00 am in order to be early, but others may want to go a bit later. We are Group #130.
For decades, UUSM members, families and friends, young and old, LGBTQ+ and straight allies have marched in LA Pride to represent our UU values and commitment to human rights. The route is a 1-mile walk through the heart of Hollywood and is great fun. Overall, the event takes several hours with prep, staging, marching and step-off.
UUSM is usually one of the few religious groups represented in the parade, which is broadcast nationally on ABC and streamed via Hulu. More details to come as we receive our staging time and location. Read More
