LA Interfaith Solidarity March
April 30 @ 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Since the founding of the LA Interfaith Solidarity March in 2016, our members and friends have supported it. Join us Sunday, April 30 after services to carpool to the march.
The Interfaith Solidarity March brings together people of all faiths, beliefs or philosophies to walk together in the name of peace, freedom, and tolerance. Amid growing anti-Semitic, Islamophobic and racist attacks in our country and even in our local community, it is more important than ever that people of faith and conscience join together to repudiate all bigotry, violence and oppression.
The march is part of a growing worldwide movement of interfaith marches, and is sponsored by our friends and allies at The Institute for Religious Tolerance, Peace and Justice.
Beginning at St. Basil’s Catholic Catholic Church in central LA, the route goes for one mile, stopping at the RFK Memorial and Immanuel Presbyterian Church before ending up at the Islamic Center of Southern California on Vermont. There will be a program of speakers from many faith traditions and participating organizations, and a reception with refreshments afterward. View the flyer.
The event begins at approximately 1PM. We will coordinate carpools and rideshares from UUSM starting at 12:30 PM.
Contact Peace & Social Justice for more information and to RSVP. Your inquiry is emailed directly to our team and we will respond promptly.
