Introduction to SoulCollage™: An Intuitive Artmaking Process

April 13 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

SoulCollage™ is a creative method of self-exploration through the intuitive construction of small collages. These monthly groups are facilitated by Adrienne Sumpter, a music and art therapist who is specially trained to lead SoulCollage™ groups.

The method is simple. Each participant is encouraged to create a collage on a small card. All materials and images are supplied. After each person creates their collage, they gather together in a circle and are invited to speak as if they identify fully with their card. This method helps the participants connect with their core selves. After the creation of a deck of cards over time, a person can see how different parts of themselves are in conversation with others.

This group is open to all adults and older children, regardless of one’s sense of creative talent. Come and get to know the many parts of your inner life!

Please note that there is a 10-person maximum for groups held in the cottage. All participants need to be fully vaccinated, and people need to stay masked. It is okay to attend only one workshop. Please sign up well ahead of time. Contact us to reserve your spot or email AdultRE@uusm.org with questions.
