Zero Waste Vegan/Veggie Lunch Potluck

The Green Living Committee invites you to a Potluck Fruit & Veggie Lunch on Sunday, October 1st in the Shade Structure from 12-2pm.

 

All UUSM members are welcome to come. Please bring a veggie or fruit dish to share and stay to help cleanup, or please donate $20 to offset meal costs. Please provide a label on your dish identifying ingredients for those with food restrictions or allergies. We are initiating a new No Waste Event approach, with training on Recycling, Composting, Dishwashing and Waste Reduction. Come learn how we can all reduce waste at church and at home. We invite you to learn more about how you and your community can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build community resilience, and improve climate justice.

 

We’re collaborating with local non-profits on urban food security and education, and with the City of Santa Monica on their Climate Action Plan. Working with Citizens’ Climate Lobby and Sunrise Movement LA, we organize and host training, programs, and occasional film screenings. Come discover information and tools for greener living and many service opportunities for adults and youth.
