CYRE Volunteer Training

Our fall programming for kids and youth starts in September! We have lots of great stuff in the works – our upcoming trip to Camp De Benneville Pines September 26-28, OWL for 7th-9th grade coming up in the new year, and RE curriculum tailored to the needs of our different age groups, which will be divided into three classrooms this year – Beginners, Middle Grades, and High School.
In order to bring everyone up-to-date on our new curriculum plans, review our child safety policies, and share new and improved methods for signing up to help in RE, we will be holding Volunteer Training Sessions on August 24th and 27th. Both sessions will be the same – you can either attend in-person in the Cottage on Sunday, 8/24 from 12-1 pm, or on Zoom on Wednesday, 8/27 from 7-8 pm. Email dmre@uusm.org for the Zoom link.
All volunteers working with children under the age of 18 are required to attend, so please RSVP by email to dmre@uusm.org and let me know which session you plan to attend. (If you cannot attend either session, we can set up a time to meet one-on-one, so let me know if you need that option.)
All are welcome, whether you are a long-time volunteer, a new volunteer, or a parent, member, or newcomer to UUSM who wants to learn more about CYRE. There’s no pressure to commit to anything right away if you’re still unsure about volunteering – it’s an open opportunity to learn and meet other folks who can share with you about their experience!
