Taking time for quiet meditation and sharing the intimacy of sitting in silence together can help sustain and ground us.
We will meet in Forbes Hall on Saturday, November 22, 10:30 am to noon, to discuss Waste Wars: The Wild Afterlife of Your Trash, by Alexander Clapp. Once we put something in the recycle bin, we pretty much forget it, but there is a billion-dollar garbage trade behind the scenes. All are welcome. Rebecca Crawford, sci-nonfiction@uusm.org We meet the 4th Saturday of each month.
The Men's Group offers the opportunity to participate in a provocative and stimulating discussion. We invite you to get to know us and experience UU perspectives in a meaningful way.
Come dance with us! Join us every 2nd and 4th Saturday evening from 7:00-8:30 pm for International Folk Dancing led by Sandy Helperin and Teri Hoffman.
Members and other artists will have a variety of creations for sale including pottery, fused glass, silk scarves, jewelry, prints, and handmade cards.
Rev. Jeremiah Lal Shahbaz Kalendae, preaching; Judith Martin Straw, Worship Associate. "Direct experiences of transcending mystery and wonder are primary sources of Unitarian Universalist inspiration. These experiences open our hearts, renew our spirits, and transform our lives... Grateful for the experiences that move us, aware of the religious ancestries we inherit, and enlivened by the diversity which enriches our faith, we are called to ever deepen and expand our wisdom," challenges our new Unitarian Universalist Inspirations statement which our movement adopted at last year's General Assembly. Nurturing Gratitude is this month's theme and we will explore how we are to live lives of thanksgiving in the context of our many holiday celebrations. Join us for Sunday morning worship in our historic Sanctuary at 18th and Arizona, online or in-person.
Join us under the shade structure after the service as we prepare brown bag lunches for our homeless neighbors.
All UUSM members and friends are invited to join a series of informal conversations about our search for a new settled minister.
Join us for a potluck Thanksgiving Luncheon Celebration on Sunday, November 23rd, beginning at 1 pm.
