There's No Getting Around It!
After decades of providing spiritual care to those touched by cancer, popular guest speaker, Michael Eselun has observed a kind of distillation— drilling down to five essential spiritual/existential challenges that confront us all sooner or later—but are compressed in the world of cancer. These can knock us down, regardless of our sense of faith or lack of it, belief or non-belief. Can we to come to peace with these challenges—and perhaps discover meaning along the way? This will mark his 27th time in our pulpit.

Our congregation this month is joined by our new minister, the Rev. Diana Smith! And our theme for August is Creativity and Connection. In the Northern Hemisphere it's summertime, with that illusion of "the living' is easy," but millions of people continue struggling for rights and freedoms, for economic justice, for basic safety, food, and shelter for all. Here's a few ideas about keeping on with this work while taking care of ourselves and each other.
