Message: “Honoring Thanksgiving/Thanxgrieving” from Rev. Jeremiah Kalendae

Rev. Jeremiah Lal Shahbaz Kalendae - November 22, 2020

For All That Is Our Life

Thanksgiving/Thanksgrieving is a time for appreciating the bounty of our lives and grieving the harm done to Indigenous peoples by settler colonialism. It is in our capacities to hold both gratitude and grief that we can resist a dominant culture that brutalizes BIPOC and enter into great solidarity with counter-cultural movements that are striving to protect our planet home and all of her people.

From Monthly: "Healing"

Healing is a “returning to wholeness” or restoring balance. It is a fitting topic for contemplation in this time of so much illness, death and division in our culture. Developmental ministry is also a period of healing that invites us to practice living by our liberal religious faith. The pandemic has brought our community closer together as we face a common threat and prioritize what really matters in a beloved community.
