Science Nonfiction Book Group “Why Nations Fail”

Booklovers come together to explore science and history topics in-depth. Meet us in Forbes Hall.
We will discuss Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty, by Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson.
Written in 2013 by one of the recipients of the 2024 Nobel in Economics, this book is extremely pertinent to today’s situation. Their reasoning is quite different from that of Jared Diamond.
